Municipal elections will be taking place on November 13. Have you thought about running for municipal council?
SUMA, the association that represents Saskatchewan’s hometowns, including the Town of Gull Lake, is offering free virtual sessions for all residents interested in learning more about being on municipal council.
In the first session, MunicipalGovernance 101: Cities, Towns, and Villages on September 11 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. hear what the role of council is, what your responsibilities are as a member of council, and more. In the second session, City Hall, on September 19 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. potential candidates will have the opportunity to ask their municipal governance questions.
