Head downtown on Wednesday afternoon, September 25th, for a pop up art gallery and craft show at the Elks Hall. At this kickoff for Gull Lake’s Culture Days you’ll find handmade quilts, macrame, art, photos, fall crafts, and artsy activities for everybody.
Local artists are hanging paintings, drawings and photos. For most of us, this will be our first ever show. Three youth artists are also sharing their art for the first time!
Karla Rudolph will be hanging pieces of original art that she and her husband have collected.
Special guest artists are popping up too. Trea Jensen paints explorations of nature, female deities, fairytales, ancient text and hidden symbols from her beautiful Moonsdottir Studio.
Watercolours by Trea Jensen.
You might know James Horne as a musician, but he’s also a photographer. In this show you will see his closeup photos of blooms, with his custom designed frames.
Ann-Lise Norman paints in watercolour, acrylics and oils and some of each will be at the show.
Rock Painting…You don’t have to be a kid to paint rocks! All ages 🙂
Collaborative art project…Grab a marker and help finish this bison painting!
The kitchen will be serving free homemade snacks and mocktails, with beer and wine for purchase.
Special thanks to everyone who has volunteered and donated towards the ongoing restoration of the Elks Hall. Wow! Such progress has been made already. And thanks also to Lindsay Alliban, our Economic Development Officer, who wrote the successful grant proposal approved by SaskCulture and who works her magic on so many projects and events like this one.
