Qualifications:
· Proficient in MS Office applications
· Bondable
· Excellent customer service
· Grade 12 diploma with post-secondary in an administration, office education, accounting field an asset
· 2 or more years’ experience in an administrative assistant role with progressively expanding responsibilities an asset
· Knowledge with Munisoft software is an asset
· Knowledge of basic accounting principles
· Preference will be given to applicants with Local Government Certification or those working towards Certification
Duties:
· Various clerical and accounting duties including answering the phone, receipting payments, preparing bank deposits, accounts payable, payroll, utility billings, responding to queries or requests from the public, etc.
· Monitoring outstanding customer accounts
· Ensure office is organized by keeping inventory of supplies, anticipating future needs, and providing support where required
· Various other duties as directed by the Administrator or Council
